Beautiful vintage early 1940s gown in raspberry red, with a unique lace bodice that gives the illusion of a low sweetheart neckline, and a partial peplum skirt. There is a metal side zipper and two fabric covered buttons at the back of the neck for closure, and shoulder pads which could be easily removed with a seam ripper if desired. Condition: Good, with light general wear, a 1" and 1/2" oil spot at the front right of the waist (see front photos), and overall fading throughout the fabric (see photos - it almost gives the fabric a marbled appearance, though it is not totally uniform).
